what would i stand to gain from switching my stock base model 2000 prelude h22 head with the head of a type s motor? any significant difference? i assume it is not that difficult and there is little or no fabrication invloved because they are after all the same motor

to be completely honest... i wouldnt swap in a type s motor. sure its has close to 20+ hp over a usdm h22 but for the price of it your better just getting a jdm h22a its still more horse power the usdm and not as expensive. if you really wanna go w/ something that is better go we a euro r . 230 hp and if you get the tranny w/ it ...it has the shortest h22 gears. IMO hope this helps.

 

he isnt talkin about a full type s swap, he's just talkin about the head itself. but to the OP i believe there isnt much of a difference. if you really wanted to see some gains i would suggest to swap over the type s pistons.
