check engine light on after hit
exiting a parking lot,i hit the bottom of my car and now the check engine light is on, and also flashes. and at idle, the car revs higher and lower than usual idle. is there a sensor under the car? i have no idea, i just got the car
No trying to be rude about it but...
before posting a question like this again, crawl under the car and see if there's any damage. If something is broken replace it. It's kind of hard for me to just sit here and just try to guess what you did...but i'll try
first off if your check engine light (CEL) flashing do not drive the car, this is an indication of a major malfunction that could lead to more damage if not immediately addressed.
There is a good chance you restricted your exhaust flow or damaged an O2 sensor or the area it connects to the exhaust at.
Using a jack and jackstands craw under the vehicle and look for any areas where the header or exhaust piping could have been crushed or damaged in anyway. check both the primary and secondary O2 sensors for any damage.
If you do not find any obvious sign of damge then adress the CEL. And you feel confident enough to drive the car do the following.
I'm guessing you don't already own one so...Drive over to a autoparts store (autozone or advance) and have them run a free diagnostics check on the car. See what the code on CEL is.
Good luck
