6 speed hard to find?
I looked at an 04 yesterday. Had 65K on it and was priced at 11.5K. The only thing keeping me from getting it is that its an auto. I would prefer manual but not sure if they are harder to find or what but don't seem to be finding any even on ebay it seems most are auto. I just wanted to know if i should hold out for a 6 speed or if i should consider the auto being that a manual might not turn up any time soon and I bet not for this price either.

I have been browsing for a couple weeks. Im looking for a 6MT/Navi, very hard to find, Prob like 1 out of every 30 you see (Based on only looking for 2/3 weeks).. Most are auto non-navi.
10% of TSX's are MT, and 10% of that have navi. Thus, MT's are rare, and MT/navi are even more rare.
Even though the TSX MT is the best out there, most consumers go for automatic since they want the "refined" feel/look. Not many are going after the TSX for its "performance" aspect.

I found an 05 6sp/mt near me but its a little out of my price range. Nice to know I have a chance finding one though. Didn't jump on the 04 yet, figure I will wait a bit and see if something manual comes around. The auto wasn't horrible though and I could deal but I would be mad if I bought it then a 6sp turns up.
when i was looking for a TSX about a month ago i used autotrader.com and searched in a 100 mile radius(from pittsburgh pa) and there were only 2 in that distance that were 6 speeds(well now theres only 1
). they are definitly harder to find but they are out there, you just might have to travel further to get one. but then again theres nothing like a little road trip to get to know your new car a little better.
IMO id definitly hold out for a 6 speed if thats what you want.
we drove an automatic, but nothing beats that third pedal
i was watching motor week on speed a few weeks ago and the tested the new TSX and they even suggested getting the manual transmission whish really suprised me being that there are so many more automatics built.

Thanks for that, makes me feel better about waiting for a 6 speed. I know thats what i would prefer i was just unsure how nice the 6sp was. Now I'm 100% sure I want a 6sp, lets just hope I can find one for under 17K cause thats what the 6sp near me is going for and it has very close to the same mileage as the auto up above for 11.5K that I was looking at.

I found my 05 tsx at a dealer in Florida Rick Case Acura. Only had 18k miles on. Not to many people like to drive MT cars. I paid 20k for my TSX after some negotiating and even walking out on the sales guy.

That's awesome. Is that MPG from the display or calculated?
