Default Possible future GSR owner, what mods should I do...

Presently I am looking at buying a 94 GSR. It has 101K miles on it. Is that too high? Also, what mods if this car doesn't have any already would you suggest. I am on a tittte budget. TIA.

it really depends what you want to do w/ the car.. but if I was about to acquire that car..first I'd do a full major maintenance (everything thats on the 30K maintenance plus whatever else you see that needs attention) and have all new fluids, filters, etc)..kinda like starting off new/fresh so that you know its maintained from the day you got it.. then I'd work on handling/tires/suspension, brakes, power/motor then audio....

I would put in a coil over suspension Tien, Koni/GC, or at least spring/shocks like Koni yellows and Eibach sportlines (this is what I have) or H&R sports... and maybe strut bars

then I'd get better brake pads.. Hawk HPS or HP+'s or Axxis Ultimates..

motor and audio not sure which routes you want to go (N/A,bolt ons, S/C, turbo, etc) and not sure how much you wanna spend on audio...

If you want to build this car up to look good and go fast, I would start with the engine mods first, I made the mistake of making my car 'Look' fast at first instead of beefing it up a bit. This lost me a few races which I shouldn't have lost. I currently have a jackson racing setup on my 2000 gsr and it is great. I am currently running at 9 psi and haven't officially timed myself but I think i am running the low 13s. Build up wise, skunk2 makes good cams, cam gears etc. They are very very good with honda motors. Injen makes good intakes, and so does ice man and aem. A header (comptech or dc sports) and a cat back exhaust wouldn't hurt either. Let me know if you have any questions. Another tip...ebay is awesome for getting quality parts for about half the price.

power is nothing w/o control.. I would still say work on handling/suspension/tires, braking first before engine mods...

**** cams
**** gears
**** intake
**** header

Go right for the power adders... Turbo/Supercharger

don't waste your time, money and effort on trying to get it to go fast without the afforementioned mods... yea you get the

"Yea dawg..... i'm all motor"

but in reality your saying...

"I'm one boke mother ****** and my car is still slow"....

just my humble opinion

*lol* I am a broke muthafucker. 20 Year old thrown out of his house like 3 weeks after his 18th b-day. Payin car insurance, rent, food, etc with parents 1000 miles away. Did I go all motor, you bet. Did I get an all motor Integra LS into the 13's for under 2k. You bet. Was it a lot of work? Hell yeah it was. I would love to turbo the car, I just got a lot of hookups on parts that made it worth it for me to go all motor. BTW, yeah my car still is slow.

I did all the work myself. My roommate's dad does headwork, helped with with a free P&P, portmatched intake manifold, bored out Tbody. Then I got Crower 403's, Titanium springs and retainers, JDM B18b head all for $400, etc. I owe a fair amount of ppl props for the help on it. And no, I didn't have to give any sexual favors for it either.

Its a bitch, and there isnt a day that goes by where I don't consider giving up. I'm tryin to be fast in a sport where I don't have the money to compete. But everytime I race somebody it makes it all worth it. I'm in a 93 Integra LS, so I get bigtime sleeper points.
