remove vinyl?
hi.. when i got my car..the guy who owned it had vinyls going along the whole side of the car..im sick of it because i think its the reason why i get pulled over a few times a month..
but i dont want to remove it if it will peel off my clear coat or paint....the car is a96 and i kno for sure that the vinyls been on their for more than 3 years..

I have to take off decal's often enough at work. We use a heat gun (hair dryer would work) and a plastic razor blade to get it started then just peal away. sometimes comes off clean.. sometimes it comes off in small pieces
I have tint on my coupe and don't get pulled over too often. I got pulled over a couple of months ago, but that was the first time I'd been pulled over in three years.
I'd stick with the hair dryer idea. They might even peel off after the car has sat out in the sun and warmed up quite a bit.
Afterwards I'd suggest you polish and wax the entire car. I'd actually clay the entire car too, but I know a lot of people don't like to detail their car(s).
