Default Idle problem Identified, Valve on TB!!

My car idles from about 1,000 to 4,000 RPM so today I took off my intake, cleaned around with carb cleaner. I then started it up and it was loud also so I put my finger over this valve type thing and it idle fine!

So I'm assuming I need a new GSR TB and also, can anyone give me some more detail about this?

Thanks so much H-T

You need to provide information such as what year, engine, and transmission. Possibly post a picture of this "valve like thing". Is it the FITV?

A local mechanic told me that he put his finger over this whole on the bottom of the inside TB before the butterfly. It's an OBD2 JDM GSR. Heard that OBD2 weren't equipped with FITV's.

Just went outside and noticed that my motor does have the FITV. I'll take it out tomorrow and clean it up.

You can block the holes before the throttle plate to isolate the air leak. You have the FITV, IACV, and idle bleed screw holes.

Dogginator, I will be doing this tomorrow morning https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1564019

1 quick question. The black cap with the two screws is connected to the FITV or the engine?

If it is this picture, that is the FITV. Have you blocked off the hole feeding the FITV to confirm that it is the culprit?

I have not done anything yet. Just did some research on how to clean it. I know I have to remove the 3 bolts and it will come off. Now is this part (pictured^) inside of it or mounted on the motor or IM?

That would be on the FITV. The picture is after it was removed from the throttle body.
