built ls vtec smoking like crazy! please help!!!
hi there, i just bought a car that has a built ls-v. here are the specs..... gsr head complete skunk2 valve train and valves, skunk2 pro 2, mild port, aebs mani,65mmtb....etc.
bottom end is midly built with ctr pistons .25 over and shotpened ls rods, gsr griddle, gsr oil/water pump, arp rod bolts, arp head studs, .60 thick headgasket (cometic).
i did a compression test before i took off the head and it reads: #1=260 #2=300 #3=260 #4 260psi so its obvious the #2 is leaking oil in the combustion chamber to make the high comp. reading.
the recent owner said that the valves seals were leaking so i removed then head and sent to machine shop to have them replace. but when everything installed it still smokes like a smoke machine.
so i'm just @$$>??????? right now and thinking of tearing the whole engine apart for inspection, i'm thinking he might of set the piston rings inaccurately and letting oil shoot up to the combustion, chamber....please help me out! your input is very valuable/......

Sounds like "as is" to me. You need to smarter than the seller, accordingly to Judge Judy.
Question, did you have the car checked, or drive it, before you bought it? NO
Question, Mr. seller, why did you sell the car? Ans. because it uses oil.
