I have been told cam gears can help tune in some horsepower. I also thought they only worked if there are a lot of mods to the car, I was wondering if they would work for my car, check my signature. thanks

 

Usually people get them after getting aftermarket cams, or after serious engine modifications. In your case, they're not necessary...

Your best bet would be to finish with the boltons, and then go from there. They would end up giving you more horsepower than cam gear + tuning.
