Car is a 88 hatch with a b18a1 in it. just swapped it in...put new axles in...passenger side works fine. but when i try to put in the drivers side..it clicks in...you know the normal but when i go to tighten the 32 bolt it completely stops the axle/hub assembly from moving (kinda like when a cv shaft pops out) ..whats going on..lol. getting kind of annoyed since im pretty sure its something simple yet i cant figure it out..thanks in advance.

 

maybe its not the right length?

 

well i was thinking that but i just went and got another and its the same length as this one. thinking maybe half shaft is wrong one but then again...it was on the motor when i pulled it from the other car dont see why they would have the wrong one on there.

 

is the dust ring removed?

 

they been removed. found some similiar issues while searching but no answers on those either. --also its just like the dust ring issue. almost like maybe the lip on the axle is to wide/long

got it...don't know if this was the only way to fix it. but i took part of the lip off of the back of the hub *shrug* but its working now..the lip on the back of it is - (the part that doesnt move) was hitting the cv shaft and doing it nicely enough to keep it from moving.
