Failed emission test?

Failed emission test?

I failed the emission test and they say i had too much oxygen in gas. What could be the problem. Car is 94 ex manual.

Recheck the paper work.
Oxygen is good.

They say its either oxygen sensor or catalyic converter.

if its not any of those ... check the gas cap ... sounds stupid but there are different types of gas caps for different cars ...

Without knowing what reading caused the failure it is impossible to know where to start the diagnostics.

too much oxygen means ur running lean ... right? ... hmm how are your oxygen sensor doing? ... its recomended they be changed every 5 years ... but how many of us do that ...
