i know most of the common ways to tell if a head gasket is blown. what are all the signs of a blown headgasket? i wanna make sure i'm not missing anything. whats a sure-fire way to tell if it is?

Fire the car up with rad cap off and look for bubbles. Pull out dipstick and check for murky color or antifreeze/water and oil mixture. You could also do a leakdown test on each cylinder and whichever one fails is where you're problem exists. Smoking white smoke is another tell tale sign. Run your heat, if you smell antifreeze that's another sign. Another sign is you'll be losing coolant. I think that's about it..

Pull the head off and check the head gasket.

you can just look at the bottom of the oil cap and see if there's like a white haze, that'll tell you if water's gotten into your oil. and see if you're losing coolant

i found out mine was bad simply by pulling out the plugs and smelling them. i smelled antifreeze. lo and behold, it was a bad head gasket lol. give that a shot and if you smell antifreeze, it'd be pretty safe to say yours is bad just like mine was. hope this helps.
