Default GSR Build Need Help

I plan on building a gsr and I wanted to know if I'm on the right path so far.

Gsr block
B20 crank
JE 12.1:1 pistons
ported gsr head
chipped p28
type r cams ( jdm of course )
b16 or gsr trans
83 mm bore darton sleeves
skunk2 intake manifold
70 mm throttle body
8 lbs. flywheel
act clutch
msd complete ignition system

I think that's it. Let me know of anything that I can improve on. All input is welcome I really want to do this right the first time.

What rods are you gonna use?
Also, ditch the MSD Ignition, stick with stock.

It would work for a b16b block but not b16a block

Why wouldn't it work for a b16a? My cousin said that it would work.

use this, http://www.zealautowerks.com
Plug in the b16a block, ls rods and crank and whatever pistons you plan on using, then tell me you want to build a motor with the compression ratio calculated. Your cousin is a moron. I'll give you a hint, deck height

Also, I pm'ed you, check it out.

Decked how much? If its a B16a block, that just compounds the problem.
Since you obviously didn't use the link I previously gave you, here's another hint, does "piston to head clearance" mean anything to you or your cousin?

I don't know how much it is decked but I'm going to see the block on monday. The guy that currently owns the block was going to build it to put it in an ek hatch. I haven't talked to him yet to see exactly what direction he was planning on taking the build. Even if this isn't the right block for me I still have the option of getting the gsr block. Also I read last night that there is a special piston kit that allows you to do the setup that I want to do with the b16.

i think what the others are hinting at are that you'll face this if you don't plan out appropriate piston to head clearance:

Now you see why LS internals won't work in a stock B16A block? B16B block will work cause the deck height is the same as a B18C block

Yes I see why. So since he decked the block how can I measure it to make sure the block has been decked to the correct specs? The block has no pistons in it as of now.
