Have you pressure tested your system? this will tell you if you have a leak.

Do you know if your thermostat is working?

start with a cold engine with your radiator cap off and make sure it's full of water, start your car. At this point both hoses will be cold

and let it idle.... as it warms up... one hose will get warm and the other will stay cold (until the thermostat opens)

Check your temp guage periodically.

As it gets close to the thermostat temp the water level in your radiator will start to move up and down as the thermostat starts to open.
Once the thermostat opens, then both hoses will be hot.

If if continues to heat up and then overheat, without both hoses getting hot, you have a bad thermostat.

I just replaced switch A and t-stat, lower hose stays cold, upper is hot.. pretty confident system is bled, cracked bleeder by t-housing, fingers got wet and no visible leaks else where.. fans still won't come on, only when I jump with paperclip.. paperclip trick doesn't work on thermo switch B(upper hose).. new new ECT sensor(broke new one; overtightened), sending unit and t-switch B en route.. car hasn't left driveway since I bought new battery to start it up cause temp gauge spikes almost immediately.

Out of topic but may i ask how to resolve getting too much coolant in reserve tank? Sometimes the coolant level in the radiator is lower and when you check in the reserve tank it is full and sometime you can see excess outside the tank.

Try jumping fans so that they are on all the time and then see if it overheats. If it still does I would bet that your coolant isn’t bled properly and that you have an air bubble. I had to bleed my coolant after an engine swap and was pretty confident I had it bled completely but it was actually pretty tricky getting it done right (for me anyways)

Try replacing your radiator cap. There is a valve in the cap and if it is stuck open it will let too much coolant overflow into the reservoir

Got the car back today, $267 later she's running good.. turned out some of the sensors were counterfeit.. replaced left rear window and windshield for $200 and got a used tire for $25.. now the next issue, getting the catalyst, o2 sensor, and egr system monitors to read ready so I can smog.. also got a code p0401.
