Default B18a1/VTEC whats next?\

So i got a 93 LS with the B18a1 motor and the guy b4 me threw a VTEC head on it with distrubutor and ECU.

So i'm having my mechanic drill the head and **** so it won't leak oil.

Now im going to have a LS/VTEC conversion with auto tranny.

I'm trying to make this car sick so i was think the next step would be 5spd Tranny

Could anyone give me advice on what i should mod next and what type of tranny i should get.

If you want to make it sick swap a K-series

as for what transmission... an LS tranny is good for turbo setups.. GSR and Type-R are similar in that their geared for better acceleration but the type_r transmission has LSD

that's a myth that's been discussed many times before. shorter gearing is better for everything except gas mileage.

anyway, i'd recommend an itr, si, or gsr tranny, in that order.

wait just a minute buddy...its not going to be easy to just swap a tranny. you got to get a new ecu, gage cluster, shifter, shift linkage, and auto-tranny swap mounts by innovated mounts. you need to re-wire your parking so that you car can can start. rewire your reverse lights and cruise control. you will have to do some cutting and fabricating as well, thats not too hard if you know how to weld. well im sure im missing more. but anyways goodluck..and expect to pay around $1500 or more just for the tranny conversion.

oh and you will also clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, clutch lines and reservoir. if i forgot anything im sure someone will say it.

lots of headaches auto to 5spd.
best off buying 5spd car to begin with.
remember 90-91 is different from 92-93 tranny.
