A friend of mine just added an aftermarket header to her D16Z6. I was thinking of putting it on my car(89 SI hatch).
Would it be worth the time and trouble?
Does it offer much of an air flow increase over the stock D16A6 header?
I know there may be issues with the exhaust, but i'm also getting another exhaust too.
I figured waste not, won't not!
Oh, by the way I know an after market header would be better, but I'm swapping in a D16Z6 w/ T25 turbo at the begining of the year so this is just for now.

Dont worry about it of your planning to go turbo. Just leave the stock on for now and just get it ported out to flow better.

 

the stock Z6 header its better than the A6 one.... it will help just a litlllllllle.... but just get an aftermarket one... and if u going turbo just leave the stock one bc u will be loosing the money later.....
