Hi, I am racing a 1992 honda civic with a d15b7. I would like to put the 4-2-1 header on it, but I have to have a cast header. Is there a cast 4-2-1 header made for a d15b7? If not, is there a header like that from another model that will fit a d15b7?

why a cast "header?" the only castings you'll find are turbo manifolds. and without a turbo, they'll be worse performance wise than your stock manifold.

i suppose you could look for a D16Z6 stock manifold or 96-98 D16Y8 manifold which are stock cast uppers with a 4-2-1 design.

Oh, I'm sorry I meant manifold I suppose I've always just called them headers

If you just have to have Cast for whatever your reasons are, Then I would use the option that Hondamark gave above which is get a stock D16Z6 header and put that on, as he said the upper part is cast just like the D15B7 but is a 4-2-1 design. The factory D15B7 header dumps all 4 primaries into 1 little pipe that then runs to the cat. converter which just seems to me would be a cluster fuc* for the exhaust gases.

Why would you even stick with a stock manifold anyways? If your trying to improve your performance, just get DC sport 4-2-1 header, or something like it and if you want it to look stock, weld a few tabs to put the stock heat shield back on. The performance from one stock manifold to another stock manifold wont be enough to make a difference.

i get the impression that wherever he is racing the car has rules for what you can and cannot have.

That is ture. The track that I am racing at doesn't allow any tube headers. This is why I wanted the 4-2-1 manifold, but I had to find a cast one, so that my car would be legal.
