Default b16 CRX

Just bought this CRX with a B16 in it. Im new to hondas im used to working on toyota manly 7m-gte so this is rather new to me. Some pics:

Now i don't know anything about honda's so bare with me

I hear ppl talking about OBD-0 and OBD-I whats it means?(i know its something to do with ECU i think? ) and how do I tell what one I have

Also I hear about the B16 having 2 o2 sensors but mine seems to have none and I can't find them.... whats up with that??

The car runs good and revs well all the way to 8,000 rpms but it idels shitty and bounces from 1,200 all the way to nearly stalling....any ideas??

ok to answer your first question OBD STANDS for On Board Diagnostics what it does is retrieve info from ecu about the performance characteristics and running conditions of all the sensors.and relays it back to the ecu in code if theres anything wrong or not running right.

look on the header the should be a o2 bung some where on it.if the plugged up that means someone before u didn't put it in the.and i bet your cel is on and showing a code 1.u should buy a o2 and hook it up reset the ecu and it should go away.

try cleaning your sensor on the back on the manifold right near the t/b it controls your idle.u can take it off spray it out with carb cleaner let it dry stick it back on.

is your cel on?if not then i wonder if your ecu has been chipped and they shut the o2 off in the bin..that means your car is running in open loop

Good project. Try cleaning the throttle plate. Also make sure you dont have any vacuum leaks. There is a procedure for setting the idle. You unplug the idle motor and it should drop to 500 rpms. If not then adjust the idle screw until it hits 500rpms and then plug the idle motor back in and reset the ecu after you turn off the car.

I found this link https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2153910 and am going to try it

also yes the car was previously yellow and painted black. The engine bay how ever was not painted black.
