Default most powerful engine in a '95 civic cx

what could be the most powerful engine i could put in a '95 honda civic cx?
i'm thinking about getting it for its high gas mileage(42/45 i think)
but the thing is that it only comes with about 70 hp on stock
what engines could i use in a swap for this car?

wait, let me get this straight:
-You want to buy the car for the awesome mileage
- but you want to know what the most powerful motor is that you can swap in?

Do you expect the mileage not to change when another motor goes in the car?

as for the "most powerful" motor you can put in.....well.....since you didn't say realistically, you could put an LS7 in there with a little bit of work.

realistically: K series motor.

time for you to spend a lil while reading the FAQ's

yeah i meant realistically
and i sorta forgot to add in a couple details
that i wanted to ask. but from the stock engine
to the k series how much could the mileage change?

and exactly what engine could i put into my car
and have the least mileage change
but still able to pack power under the hood?

about 25mpg, depending on how you drive. Can't have loads of power and the best mileage....just doesn't happen.

The most powerful is again a k series but unless your stupid rich its not a practical swap. Try going for a b or h series. Your gonna be smoking stangs on the freeway with ur car and have fun doing it.

i bet you can still yield 40mpg with a k24 civic. my tsx gets 36mpg highway and it weighs 700 pounds more than a civic.

k24 civic hatch ......drooool
