DATE CHANGED TO AUGUST 16th!
So I'm thinking about throwing a meet in the Baraboo area August 16th
It's a Saturday. I think It'd be sweet if we all met up at Devil's Lake. Grill Out, Swim, Hike, Bike, Volleyball, Fish, whatever you guys want to do really. The place is huge!
I think D-Lake would be a sweet spot.. I know a couple of the Steven's Point crowd said they'd drive to Baraboo, and we're only 45 minutes from Madison so I think we could make a pretty big meet!!
Let me know who all is interested and we'll see what happens... Reply here I guess and if there is enough interest we can make it happen!
Thanks!

If we can get at least 20 people to sign up for the meet, I can get everyone day passes for 5 bucks rather then the 7 dollar fee.
ALSO!
If you have a state park pass, that works for Devils Lake as well do you don't have to pay an admission fee. I advise all that think they can get away without paying to not try it. I got a $150 parking ticket earlier this year before I got my pass. They check EVERY car.
You can use this site to find directions to the lake:

I'll reserve a Shelter on the south shore if we can get the 20 people to sign up.

just remember its $7 for a day pass, and $12.50 for a yearly on if you say you already have one for your "other" car
Posted by Kuchtaboy[/B] on the 6th page, just thought id put it here so everyone can see:
we're going to have this on the SOUTH SHORE.
JDM_EK and I talked about it, and there's a lot right next to where the volleyball court is set up that we'll aim for.
I'll be sure to try and get a couple signs up for everyone.
Aim to be here around 10:30 or 11. We were out at the lake till almost 11 and the lots were just starting to get people to fill in, so if everyone is there by 11, there should be no problem with us all parking together.
I'll be there from 10 on, so if people are showing up early, we'll be there.
**IF ANYONE WANTS TO FOLLOW OUT THERE**
because you can't figure it out on map quest or a map how to get to the south shore, I can meet people in the Wal-Mart parking lot, I'll head out from there at 9:45 so we're at the park by 10.

Like it says on the map, do NOT take that section of Highway 113. It's all torn up from the flooding we had earlier this summer, and low cars WILL loose parts. I've smacked my bumper a few times on some of the spots, so just stay clear of that area
If anyone has any questions that day, you can give me a call at 608.434.3118.
I think that should about cover everything... If anyone has any other questions before the 16th comes, post up!
Hope to see you all here!!!!

lol, don't be dumb. You're helping me host it. lol
That's right... it is 7 bucks for a pass, but I'm going to talk to them and see if we can do some sort of group ticket thing and get it cheaper...
I just want to see if anyone is interested first before I go make these plans.

You're going to have a tough time competing with the Import Alliance meet. I'd recommend just joining up.

Well, the Import Alliance meet is annual, so it's tough to compete with in July.
Last year there was over 1200 cars, and it was only at the Stadium. This year we've actually rented Nashville Super Speedway for the event.
Drifting, Auto-X, Time Attack, and Drag Racing events will be taking place, as well.

yeah dude.... I'm actually going to be starting a new job like the week before, but if I have that weekend off I'm really thinking about joining in on the cruise down. It looks pretty sweet!
Even better. By August, anyone who was going to "do something" or "put on this" should have done so by then. Well, I'm just saying so because I'll be back in school in September so these three months are pretty much it
