What's under the drivers seat in my Integra??
I just bought a 95' Integra GSR and noticed there is a Green plug unplugged coming out from around the bottom of the drivers seat. What could that go to?
I think you could be right because I just replaced the battery in the keyless entry and it lights up but the car still doesn't re-act. I will look and see what it goes to under there and take a picture too. Prolly be tomorrow when i can post it up
But I wonder why it would be unplugged. The previous owner said it never worked since he had the car. When I got it, the key fob battery was dead. Now it's new and seems to light up when i push the button but the car doesn't react. Maybe if I plug it back up it will work.
Or will it have to be re-programmed? If so what is the procedure? Is there a link? I searched but didn't find the exact procedure only some writing about turning the ignition on and off but didn't say what else.

Maybe, I will go out at lunch and see if I have one under the seat. Hopefully it's just unplugged for some strange reason. I can't imagine why it would be unplugged unless it didn't work. But then the previous owner didn't have any car knowledge and hadall the work done for him, and the owner before that, who knows what they knew. I think all the work on this car was done professionally. It looks as if there hasn't been any shade tree mechanics touching this car. It's Extremely clean and everything is in it's correct place and nothing is missing, so a Honda Tech might have unplugged it during some work and just forgot to re-plug it or something. Who knows what happened. Just hoping the thing is still under there and works.
Would the alarm plug really be under the drivers seat? seems like this was an install that wasn't done right. Would be very easy for a theif to just reach under there and pull the plug, or cut the wires.
I self installed an acura OEM keyless entry/alarm in my integra, and the kit came with a bracket that bolts the control unit to the steering collumn. There were about 3 wiring harnesses that had to be installed, in the drivers door, and under the drivers side dash. I didnt do any wiring under the drivers seat.

no it is true i have a 96 gsr and my box is there all it does is to make the alarm do different things i know it was a dealer option i think but it lets you adjust the sensitivity and things like that
Weird, I'm going to have to look under my seat and see if i also have such a plug. I have a 00 4dr LS
The keyless entry/alarm kit is one i purchased off ebay from an acura dealer in california. It included the control unit, 2 key fobs, and wiring harnesses. all OEM parts. everything mounted under the dash except for a wiring harness that had to be installed in the drivers door for the keyless entry to lock/unlock the doors.
The control unit mounted on the steering column under the dash also has a sensitiviy control for the microphone glass breakage detector.
This is what is mounted on my steering column under the dash
