I saw a crx on ebay and i noticed it had SiR in the back where normally the Si is and i was just wondering what makes it an SiR??

 

It would be an SiR if it was from Japan.

 

If the decal was "SiR" in red white a silver outline, then the person bought the decal at pep boys and thinks he is cool.

if it read "siR" and looked the "si" was red, with a grey/silver "R," the owner of the car either imported the decal from japan, or it is an actual EF8 RHD CRX SiR, complete with b16a, glass roof, power window, and a bunch of other goodies, which was made from 1990-91 (correct me if I am wrong).

 

CR-X siR's didn't all come with Glass roofs... actually very few did... most glass tops were just plain Si's...

 

If the crx came from the factory with a B16a, and has "EF8" in the vin, then it's a genuine SiR. It was available in what seems like every country except ours.

 

I think you are talking about the 93 SiR that was on ebay...and it's a J-Spec vehicle...imported to the US...it has the B16A2...which is the 170 HP version witha hydraulic clutch...if not I am wrong.

naa we didnt get the SiR's either down in australia and its bloody hard to get em here cos of the import laws which do not permit us to bring em in..the only way we get em here is personal imports and so there r only a very few who have em.
p.s. they r hot and i want one

 

if its a real JDM CRX its going to say Si in red. and R in silver color...
driver its on the right side,.. engine its the B16A1.... and has power windows, glass top (some models only)... some more goodies.....

if its a real one tell him to show u this kind of stamp on the engine...

 

actually i think it was the opposite of this. Si in in silver, R in red. if i remember correctly the guy was located in Hawaii. i will try to find it.

no no cause that is a pic or eric's crx and its a usdm crx converted... so you can also be fooled by the stamp...dont trust anybody, unless you are next to the car....
