fishtailed in the rain and hit a guardrail.....
hey guys i got into an accident recently. i fishtailed and went into a guardrail on a curve entering a highway.
the cops said i was the fourth one to get into an incident at that same location at the very same night!! i guess it was some liquid on the road. not sure it was in the middle of the night. as you guys can see my airbags went off and the front frame and bumper support is bent as well. is it even worth fixing? btw i don't have full coverage ever since i had paid off the car a yr ago. thanks for your input.

Paying off a car is NOT a reason to drop your collision and comprehensive coverage. Those coverages protect the value of your car; without them, if your car gets in an accident or gets stolen, you're stuck with the financial loss.
Sorry about the accident, but dropping your insurance coverage was a big mistake on your part.

Apply for insurance w/ collision and comprehensive. File a claim a month or two later. Might be illegal but the insurance companys make billions off us anyways. A few thousand dollars aint **** to them.
EDIT:
Just read the OP. Did you file some kind of accident report? If not, just dont drive your car and file a claim on another rainy day after you added collision to your policy.

yup, insurance fraud is [freak]en awesome. x2x2x2!!1 btw, if case you guys haven't realized, a jdm front costs a LOT more than another usdm front. if i wrecked my integra with only liability coverage, a jdm front would be the last of my worries.

i DO love my car. i am going to bring it to my friend's shop in Queens this weekend and get an estimate/inspection hoping for no further damage. but i've heard that once your airbags has gone off, you'll have to replace the SRS unit, the sensors on top of the two airbags?? can someone confirm this? did you guys have it installed at the dearship? how much did that cost? i rather not do it myself. i don't wanna mess around with something like the airbags.

yeah i had the car towed via AAA and they had to have me get a police report before they would tow my car. i had to have it towed because both my tires blew. so yeah now i have to show up to court next week for it as well!! if i didn't have to get a report no doubt i would've commited insurance fraud!! they rape us like hell anyway. btw aren't you the one who has the silver integra with the 17" Gram Lights? how do you get around like that? lol i had 16" on mine and i was scrapin' all day! well i am in NJ...where the roads are shitty as hell.

i know it's definately more than just a messed up bumper. the frame on the left side is dented in and the bumper bar needs to be replaced as well. has anybody had this repaired? and how much did it run you guys? hey infamouskillas you're the one with the mugen front integra right? any new updates?? i mean the body panels for me is not a problem i know people who can paint it for me it's the frame that i am worried about. yeah buying the JDM front has definately crossed my mind. but then again it'll attract more attension than it already does right now.
maybe it's time to move on to a proper sedan. just a thought. on your situation, do you know anybody who can paint for you besides that shop?? i mean i would take the insurance check and buy the parts myself and have them install it. seems like the shop is giving you a real hard time. keep us updated. gl

you make a valid point there!! something to really think about. To all the slammed riders out there: anybody realize how prone your car is to hydroplanning/slippage due to even a slightly wet road? i just ordered a camber kit. i am running -2 degrees on the front and -1.3 in the back.

Damn sorry to hear that. Now youre kinda assed out.. now you gotta pay everything out of your pocket.
Yeah thats me. What size tires are you running? 17" wheels actually give you a little more ground clearance so I dont have any problems scraping at all. I need it cause the H22 oil pan sits a bit lower in the teg. Plus the roads here in Seattle are pretty damn smooth. I used to live for 2 years and the roads down there killed my car.
