The rose that grew from concrete. . . w/o a welder
Alright, I am no stranger to good 'ol h-t, (but my "new" name may be? lol) so I already know the rose threads are a lil played out how ever I had to show off the one I made as I was able/motivated to make one using J.B. Weld. I'm no fabricator by any means so I had no access to any sort of welding equipment. But my girl friend who has spent the last 48 days in the hospital fighting for her life, in and out of Critical Care has done just that and "FOUGHT" for her life. She has Cystic Fibrosis in which her lung conditions worsened enough a few weeks ago to force the doctors to induce an emergency intibation (Coma) in order to let a respirator/ventilator breathe for her for what turned to be a grueling, hellacious 6 days in which at one point we were told she may not make it through the day because her left lung was bleeding and filling and once it fills and goes to the right then. . . . . Okay on w/ the rose.
So she is "awakened" from her Coma where she has lost nearly 30 of the 95lbs she started with over a year ago, we are informed she is now healthy enough to be "the #1 spot" on the list for a dual lung transplant any where in this part of the United States (GREAT NEWS) and by day 2 of conscienceness she is breathing on her own with merely 2.5 liters of oxygen, compaired to 15L through a face mask and still out of breathe 7 days prior. With such a positive turn around already unexplainable by her team of docs, while sitting still in a bed over the next 2 weeks she put on almost 22-23 lbs(woot woot) (via feeding tube on turbo mode) and reduced & or elevated ALL of her stats into the safe zone, almost to a healthy person's stats. i.e sitting still and out of breathe heart rate, 135 bpm to 85/95 bpm.
Sooooo, seeing what she has went thus so far, and knowing the CCU unit does not allow flowers I had seen some roses fabbed up outta sheet metal in here (thanx "WADE") and thought I'd hafta give it a shot w/ trusty 'ol J.B Weld. lol.
Nothing as fancy as some I have seen, but for my first time and no manifold whippin' up skills it aint too shabby so I thought I'd share. I had more of a table top piece in mind, plus she is tiny so I opted for a not so long stem version.

Touch ups made over spray enevitable

Sorry for the downer story out side of GDD, Just wanted to share to show that any body could can whip one of these up, well any body with time & a few special pair of pliers

Keep your head up man. You're one hell of a guy to not freak out and run, given the situation. Lots of guys would. It shows a lot about your character.
Good luck to both of you!
Good luck to both of you!

My mother survived thyroid cancer and has been free of it since ~98. So my prayers are w/ ya'll as it a rough road as well.
Wade, I'm in Lex, I hear you just bought another autronic w/ coils, you gonna have her together soon?

I saw the whole set up for sale on drivelex and Asked "Topend" how he sold an autronic so fast, as I been tryin to sell mine for a while. Jealous of the coil on plug, fo sho. My smc ""hates"" honda distributors.
The leafs were actaully pretty simple, dremel, engraver, and a small pair of scissors to snip the straight edges, the hard part was not letting the paint fill every thing in.

i used to have a PnP. hated it. always misfired. needs bosch sensors to read AIT and water temp correctly or else with honda sensors it reads hotter than what it REALLY is.
the wire in units sell much easier. you cant do coil on plug with a PnP anyways, gotta get 4 ig. outputs on it.
