2 & 4 cylinders not firing

2 & 4 cylinders not firing
i have a 95 gsr shell with an ls motor in it
it starts and idles, but only the 1 and 3 pistons fire
the 2 and 4 are dead
i swapped around the injectors and the spark plugs and still, the same two pistons don't fire
i can tell the 2 and 4 are dead b/c when you shoot water onto the exhaust manifold, the water burns off on the 1 and 3, but the 2 and 4 are still cold
all i can think of is bent valves...
any ideas what else could be wrong?
