1990 Honda Civic DX Hatchback

My dome light does not come on when I open the door like it is supposed to. It never has since I got the car 2 years ago. I took out the dome light, the two connectors were connected.

My door/seatbelt light flashes and beeps under sharp turns and heavy braking also. It beeps when I open each door so it works when it's supposed to, and then some. I just took out the door switches on both sides. My drivers side did not have the black mechanism on the contact area, my passenger side did.

Any pointers?

 

I can take pictures if needed.

 

I got the driver's side connected now, everything works well as far as the dome light. I have to solder the passenger side back on because a previous owner must have yanked it.

 

Just for the record, my problems with that stuff came from the latch inside the door...not the L shaped switch in the door jamb...good luck
