90 Civic SI - Door ajar light won't go off
When My car is running the light is on when the car is off the light is on. The light is driving me insane. I tryed to see if there is a switch that turns it on and off. I for a black "L" peace that seems to move when the door is open and shut like it is spring loaded but messing with it doesn't seem to help..

That's one of the options on the si model. its considered a luxury feature.

Re: 90 Civic SI - Door ajar light won't go off (chads)
is the light sayingn the door is open? i know i had that problem in my integra the light would flicker on and off.
What i did was line up the door where the sensor is and put a piece of little foam with sticky stuff on the back of it so when the door closed it would hit the sensor and push it in.
I guess your other option is to take out the lightbulb from the gaugecluster or get a new door.

Slide the slider thing back and take the screw out to remove the switch. See what's going on back there. The switch is a simple ground - when the door is closed, connection is broken (no ground.) When the door is open, it makes contact with ground. You might need to replace tthe switch if something has come off, or attempt to fix it...
