I hhave d16y8 in my hatch I am running a chipped pr3 ecu.

Im throwing a code 23 for ks I went to hook it up an there are 3 wire a blue a white an like bare wire wrapped around the other 2 I asume that that a insalator.

Ne ways how shoul I hook this up what wire do I run to the ecu an what wire do I ground?

 

why are u running a PR3 and not a P28?

 

becuase im chap and I havent conmverte to obd1 yet

 

i saw shell out the money and get urself a P28 and convert to obd1 i never regretted it after i did it. or just run your stock PM6 and wire up a 1 wire vtec. both of these options do not require the use of a knock sensor. running the PR3 will only keep u running rich since the PR3 is for B16 motor.

 

I know this but I have a baby on the way an all of my xtra money goes towards that.

As far as extra fuel that is fine with all the other mods I have.

Someone please tell me how to wire up my ks the motor is a 78 and a chipped pr3.

 

on a OBD0 PR3 the knock sensor goes into pin B19, you only need to run the wire dircetly to the ecu the sensor grounds itslef to the block.

im the one who did his base map and i disabled the knock sensor code in the bin and i check the knock sensor box so it shouldn't be there.tand this is to the Op ULL PROB. GET A BETTER ANSWER IN THE ECU tuning forum.FYI before anyone asked yes it was done with bre.and when ever hes ready i got a chiped po6 coverted to vtec for him.all he needs is a obd1 dizzy and obd1 jumper harness which im sure can be bought easy from ebay for 80 bucks.

Yes I am cheap at the moment my ks is 3 wires not one wire.

So my question was what wire o I hook up to on the ks. THe blue or white. bThe ks is obd2

why not put a 1 wire knock sensor on (didnt even know they came in 3 wire??), Then I hope you can then figure out where the wire goes

 

 

look in the shop manual for the ek it should be in there somewhere.hell go to autozone and look in one of the helms manuals for the ek.but i bet its the blue wire cause whit sounds like a ground?is the code 23 still going away at night?

 

no its not going away bruno is going to put a 1 wire ks in and wire it up for me since I have a f***ed shoulder right now
