Will Ap2 shock assembly fit an Ap1?
The donor car is a 2007 ap2. My car is a 2002 ap1. I was told it couldn't be done because they sit differently. I was hoping for a re-affirmation, but now I don't know.

no they dont fit... the ap2's have an extra johson rod attached to the actuator... in order to make this fit, u have to completely take apart the strut assembly, get them professionally rebuilt and have the extra johnson rod taken out... its just not worth it... its gonna cost you $300 a strut in labor alone...

So is it a johson rod or a johnson rod?

Hi,
I have a similar question. I need to raise my car for the Canadian winters and the current springs I have are Tein S-techs. Are all model year springs interchangeable? Or, specifically, which later model springs will fit on a MY00.
TIA

the coils on the AP2 springs are actually a space aged material so therefore the design is a smaller and lighter spring... i heard people would melt the springs down and sell the raw material for $$$...
