ignition timing need some help asap!!!!
ok heres my situation im tryin to see what is best for my car advancing or retarding the timing..... i plan on getting a tune within the next month just dont want to get my car tuned then when i do the pistons n rods have to spend the money to get it tuned all over again..... here is my setup
b16 head
skunk2 hi compression valves crower tit. springs and retainers
buddy club spec III cams
itr intake manifold
stock ls block with type r oil and water pump
can i advance the timing too much to cause it to ping if im running 91 octane????
i feel like the motor is a little more noisy when retard the timing with the mugen chip but runs really hard top end.... but then when i advance the timing with the skunk 2 chip the motor sounds better but idle is a little unsteady fluctuating no more than 50 rpms (mugen chip has steady idle) but u can feel it and makes the car a little sluggish until around 3,000 rpms but after that if feels beautiful so im really confused on wat to do ive been switching up chips now for about a week tryin to figure it out but im too indecisive so please honda tech help me out here....
