Hey guys I was wanting to know how you guys deal with all of your oil lines, before I had a LS-T and I just "T"d it off of the back of the block for the oil feed.

Now I'm doing a LS-Vtec-T and I also want to run an oil gauge, I just dont see running three T's off the back of the block as a good idea.

The best solution I have ran into is the GE oil sandwhich plate but is there anything else out there that would work/be better? Like a vacuum manifold but for oil perhaps.....?

 

we make mini oil manifolds all the time. they work great.

Do you sell these or is it just a made thing you do when you need to? Any info you can give me would be very helpful, like what material you use, where you mount the manifold, things like that. I want to buy a ls-v kit but I don't want to have to spend the $ on a sandwhich plate if I don't have to (plus I don't know if I like that idea).

Do you just feed it all off of the back of the block (where the oil pressure sensor is)? I wouldn't want to starve my head of oil.

I use the sandwich plate, the GE one has two fitting on it.

I use one for ls vtec and the other for the turbo feed line

 

Check on stealthmodes site he used to see a firwall mounted kit for an oil manifold.

 

For multiple oil ports, we use a custom block fitting to 18" of stainless to a T at the top of the firewall. From that T, one side goes to the turbo, and the other to vtec, gauge, or whatever else. Once you have the T at the top of the firewall, the possibilities are pretty endless from there, and you never have to get back down to the block fitting again.

 

I will get you pics of what i did.

I 'T'd off the source, then went to another location with another 'T' and mounted 2 oil pressure senders (stock + aftermarket), the from the T at the location i fed the turbo, you could just add a bunch of T's and make a oil manifold like mentioned, easy.

 

So it looks like the one fitting from the block will feed all of the oil componets just fine, bump for pics!

Stainless and brass are nice, but aluminum FTW! I've had them all.



That was my original, then I increased to 3/8" tube and decided just to use a brass Tee, and tapped a hole in the top for the OEM sender unit.

Some people around here sell them, but mcmaster.com does too for about the same price - stainless, brass, and aluminum. You can also pick your port sizes and port count.

Thats a really clean looking setup.

Is that tubing flared or just a compression fitting?

 

greddy make's a sandwhich plate thats pretty cheap
