Default Turbo Street Exhaust rules?

From what i gather, it looks like a downpipe coming out of the front bumper is legal for TS? Anybody see or know anything different?

i believe you can do whatever you want with the DP....you just have to have a muffler at englishtown as they run the sportsman cars during time periods where a muffler is required.

i believe i remember seing an evo with the downpipe coming out of the bumper at a race, but dont remember 100%

Being that the downpipe is the lowest point on our cars, sure would be nice if it didn't have to go under the oil pan.

yea i agree. especially with the catch pans. i started to make a new dp for mine, but ran out of time so i just reused my old one. when i spoke with glen about the muffler deal...he said as long as the dp had a muffler on it, you would be fine at etown.....so i dont see any reason why you couldnt have it exit the bumper. but then again air inlets arnt alowed to stick past the bumper? none of the rules are clear this year

One of the nopi officials posted on here before Etown and said that a turbo is considered a muffler, it only applied to the all motor cars etc.

You are correct. Right before the E-town race. Glenn Woods(before he left NOPI) asked me to post that the only cars that needed mufflers were All-Motor and Nitrous cars. He was on his was to E-town for the race and did not have internet access. I posted this in another thread. Hope this helps.

He said that on turbo cars the turbo was considered the muffler. PER GLENN WOODS before he left NOPI.
