Default What would S2000 do with these mods

Lets say I bought an S2000 put I/H/E and a lightweight flywheel. With slicks what would I be expecting in the 1/4? And how much would those mods shave off the 1/4 vs stock?

You driving? Never make it off the line. Diff would shatter.

I have made one quater mile pass in my car, one. Ran a 14 flat, was happy, left the drag strip. Drove next door to the road course and used the car what it was meant for..

with the right combo of parts you can see anywhere from 10-15 whp gain. Although it's really not made to be a drag car, there are some people who have made it into the low 13's with your above mentioned parts.

people break into high 13's just by knowing how to drive the car down the 1/4, all stock

Don't do slicks. You'll put more pressure on your differential (weakest link on an S2000). Plus, you don't need slicks on a car that has little low-end torque.
Slicks are for buttstangs, and other muscle cars.
A good set of performance tires should do.

As for the rest, they will get a good driver, on a perfect day, on a perfect track, on a perfect run... in the low-to-mid 13's in the quarter mile.

Real power can only be attained with Forced Induction, on an S2000.

</TD></TR></TABLE> When you launch the car at 6,000RPM on street tires your gonna have some tire spin. NOW think about launching your car at 6,000RPM on slicks. You will run a better time with slicks most cars do. but your diff would brake.

With your "Professional" driver you should make it to the line and then realize oh yeah I bought an S2000, not an F-body, what the F*ck am I doing at a drag strip?!?!?

I dont see whats so bad taking it to the track Just to test out how it will accelerate with out worrying about getting a ticket or running some people over

It's not that, it's all these people coming over and thinking this is the next big thing on the dragstrip. It's not even remotely built for that.

But people do whatever they feel. Just when they break their diff and think "man what did I do wrong". That's when I get fired up cause they didn't know it was going to happen in the first place.

.....or even worse, they'll try and claim how bad Honda builds the car. It's alway someone else's fault when the undecated owner does something wrong or something breaks. It's really sad.

the whole reason to launch the car at 6 k is to get the wheel spin, you can break traction or launch it low and vtec yourself out of the hole.

break traction or something else will break

it's not a drag car by any means but hey someone will race it down 1320 with it.
