Call up the local salvage yards. They should have a good one available. Good luck.

Yes. There are know transmission issues with that year group V6 Accord Automatic transmissions. Honda had to extend the warranty on them because of this.

I vote for http://www.car-part.com as well.

Yes there was a warranty extension on the transmission to 7 years 9 months or 109k miles. Provided that the car does not hold a salvage title. I am a service advisor at a honda dealership and get these all the time. If you are out by mileage but not by much the dealer may be able to get goodwill assistance from honda, I've seen them pay for part if customer pays labor. I've seen them do percentage splits with the customer. How many miles on the car? Is the check engine light on with dtc of p0740?

how does the odo settlement factor into that? Honda agreed to extend the warranty period by 5% to compensate for speedo error..

it could go up to 114K or 114450?

109k miles is the adjusted amount including the Vaughn Class Action odometer discrepancy settlement, that would be the max for honda to pick up the entire tab for replacement, although if you are not too many miles past that you can petition for goodwill consideration. The transmission recall bulletin is 02-062 99-01 automatic transmission warranty extension. If going for goodwill consideration, it helps if you can provide maintenance/service records on transmission and also helps if you are the original owner.

This trans warranty extension included all 99-01 accord v6 and 4 cylinders, oddyssey and prelude automatic transmissions.

Have you tried anything to see if the whole tranny is shot?

Fluid level correct? Drain and refill a couple of times with Honda ATF only? Tested any solenoids etc?

Throwing any codes?
