New to the forum, so hello to all!

Just purchased a 1997 Integra LS auto as a daily. Here is the problem.

IN D4, Car shifts firm thru 1st, 2nd, 3rd, then it shifts to what should be overdrive and there is nothing, like the car is in neutral, free reving. With minor grinding noises.

If I leave the car D3, it will shift as it should through the first 3 gears as it should.

Seems like overdrive or 4th gear is gone, it just freerevs with no drag what so ever with grinding.

I drained the atf and replaced with honda atf, still no good. Has proper fluid amount.

No check engine light on cluster.

Is there a solenoid that controls the shift into overdrive??

sounds like the tranny is bad and 4th gear is out.
