Default Jdav's EF Hatch build thread

I guess I'll start off with a little about me.

Hi, my name is Jean-Luc and I <3 hondas. I'm 16 years old, and this is my third honda(1st was 91 DX Hatch, 2nd was 92 integra). I currently work at a bodyshop, so I make decent money and have the supplies/skills to make this car mint.

Now to the car.

I bought it about two weeks ago, found it on craigslist apparently the clutch was out but it ran fine. went and checked it out, motor seemed to run strong but the car was not going anywhere. I ended up buying it for 700$ cash and towing it home. when I got it home, I found every piece of documentation there every was for the car, recipts of purchase, extra salesperson's cards, PDI inspections oilchanges, the whole nine yards from the last 19 years.

I hit up ebay got got a exedy clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and lightened flywheel that fit the dseries in it for around 230$

I installed it last week and drove the beast of a car 20 miles home from a friends garage where I installed the clutch with no inspection, registration, texas plates or drivers liscence passed 6 cops its like the damn thing was invisible.

Finally home:

cleaned the engine bay:

I didn't get any pictures of the clutch install or the new parts, but heres what I pulled out:

the other day I decided that I couldn't stand the nasty smelling dihearea brown interior any longer, so I pulled most of it out. This picture is after 8 hours of scrubbing with purple power (I seem to forget to take pictures of things before, but I'll start for ya'll) under the interior was 19 years of crap. Its clean enough inside now to eat off of:

Next week I'm picking up a full SI interior (headliner to carpet) for a couple hundred dollars and will install that after I remove all the sound deadning crap and paint the inside of the hatch.

On the subject of paint, since I cant stand gold I'm repainting the car YR-88 almond cream, keeping it a EF honda color. It's also a pretty cheap color since its a solid:

Well thats it for now, I get paid friday so I'll betting some goodies for the hatch a.k.a nation bank of jdav

Im planing on building a pretty bad boosted d series or all motor b series most likely going with a dirty turbo d though

thats it for now!

***edit***

Found a pic of me and car during clutch install:

and one of my first car, and first ef:

and the DA:

and the ef sedan I sorta had for a while:
