I have a 88 CRX DX with the D15B2 engine, manual tranny. Car is running rough, lack of power especially at low rpms. I can start out, it is sluggish until around 3500 rpm then I feel it really start to pull. It is running very rich because exhaust smells strongly of gas. It has had this condition since I purchased the car. So far I have worked the head, new head gasket, new plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, O2 sensor, fuel filter throttle body gasket, intake manifold gasket, ex manifold gasket, replaced all vacuum lines and hoses, new coolant temp sensor. I have followed test procedures for throttle angle sensor, main relay, main relay harness, EACV, IAT, MAP, PA, TDC. Injectors seem to be working but the resistance on the primary injector is 1.5 while the aux injector is 8.5 (DPFI) My check engine light is on, but has no codes so i tested all sensors, and they tested good. I unplugged each, one at a time and they all threw that code. Now the cel stays on. I will pull fuse to clear codes, turn key to ON, cel comes on, but does not go off. cel has never turned off, batt disconnected, codes cleared, nothing will get that light off. I think the next step is ECU, but if anyone has any ideas please help me. This is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance

 

Whats the light on the ECU showing? The dash light doesnt blink the codes unless you jump the connector in the engine bay or behind the passenger side kick panel. If the ECU light is solid, the ECU is faulty. Replace it. You can probably pick one up cheap from the junk yard, especially if the car is DPFI as there isnt much market for used DPFI ecu's.
