Default road trip tips

im planning to go for a long drive Winnipeg, CA to Minneapolis...yeah sounds fun but i want to bring my car too..just to meet up with my other friends in Minneapolis...and the thing is i dont want to chip/damage my paint (like last time i used my dad's van there's like so many chip from the front bumper) any suggestions on avoiding this thing?

painters tape.
but I honestly dont see the point, any time you drive the car around you stand the chance of getting hit by stones, one road trip with the front end covered will do very little.

yes, painters tape would be a good idea. plus, try to get a fly net or something so bugs dont get all in your condenser/radiator. i'm not sure if they actually sell these in stores, but my dad used to get screen from windows and rig it up so it fit like a bra over the bumper and kept bugs out.

yeah get a bra.... that should protect your bumper temporarily.. make sure u remove it though after the trip.
