ecu for poors man r

Default ecu for poors man r

hey wil a stock obd0 b16 ecu work with a poor mans type r setup, its going to be 11.4 or around there compression. can i break in the motor and drive it without being tuned?

You could, but then again, you could also drive around with no tune in a turbo car pushing 20 PSI. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Get a chipped ECU, and have it dyno tuned. Put whatever program on the ECU the tuner is most familiar with.

well i need a car to drive and i dont have the money yet for a ecu and tune, that'll be in like 2 or 3 weeks. i might buy a vafc ii this weekend so then i can tune it a little bit until i get my new ecu and obd1 conversion and then tune. will it run fine fora couple days? or am i just gunna do damage to the engine
