I still have not gotten the chance to ride in a JRSC GSR. Is it whorth the time and money, or does the turbo route just make more sense??? I want my car to make good power while still keeping its handling characteristics, thats why I've been hesistant on the turbo setup.

Current setup:

Stock block w/ITR head
sk2 stage 2 cams, w valvtrain
jdm 4-1
chrome ecu
aebs intake man.
all other bolt ons

 

Read through this and you be the judge of which powerband you think would be more fun. Personally, i would never invest in a JRSC for my GSR.

i had a JRSC on one of my gsr and it was fun....untill i went turbo and i would never go back....thats my .02

if you already have 4-1 headers, then go jrsc,, otherwise youl hafto swap it out for a manifold.

 

i currently run one on my gsr. its nice and its pretty fun for daily driving. but i have gotten bored with it and im going turbo. TURBO FTW!

WTF does that have to do with anything. Of course he would have to get a manifold, but that's not what his question was. I don't understand how already having headers would make you decide to go SC.

I love turbo much more that SC. I've ridden in many of each, and there is nothing like turbo IMO. I say go turbo and you will never regret it.

if he wants to spend money on a manifold, when he's already spent money on headers, then thats his choice,

my advice was to the point where why would someone spend money on something twice? if he doesnt care about costs,

then yes, turbo is faster.

but from the sound of his post he is concerned with costs.

 

i say keep it stock and throw some of NOS
