Was about to adjust my valves, so I was taking out my spark plugs... Pulled the Number 1 plug out, and the gromet at the end didn't come out with it!? It's still sealed down there around the spark plug.

Can't get the stupid thing out!? Can't get the plug out, because the rubber thing is overtop the spark plug. Only thing I can see is metal top.

I've tried and tried is there a method anyone has? I've tried a screwdriver, just gently trying to hook it on something... I've pushed the plug wire back in and out hoping it will catch... nothing.

What the hell!?

 

you can still see the top? try to use another spark plug cable to get it out?
create some contraption with duct tape, HAVE FUN!

 

have you tried long tip needle nose pliers...?

 

Long needle nosed pliers tore it completely apart... Eventually ripped off enough so I could get my socket on the spark plug.
