so my '99 EK's intermittent wipers aren't working. i tried searching but that function seems to be not working.

when i turn the wipers on to the delay setting or whatever its called, it'll swipe a lil more than half way or so then stop. then it'll start back up again but stop in the middle of the windshield. and it'll continue to do this. it's annoying cause it never stops at the bottom. and when i want to turn the wipers off, i have to play around with it and time it so that it'll come to a rest at the bottom where it's supposed to.

all the other normal settings work. it's just the delay/intermittent setting.

any thoughts? it's weird cause just the other week it was working perfectly.

 

I had the same problem, and I changed the wiper switch assembly (the whole lever thing), and that fixed it. got it at the local 'pick a part'

 

Mine did the exact same thing.

There is a TSB on this problem. You'll need to replace the motor.

What exactly does TSB stand for btw? I know it means recall..
Also I was checking out that thread and came across "Honda will replace these for free" for the 92-95 civic seat belt slow retraction. Do you think they will still do it or is that really old?

 

TSB does not mean "recall". TSB means "technical service bulletin". It's a page that has information on common issues that said car had. This is made so that technicians don't spend all day seeking the source of a problem.

The seatbelt thing doesn't matter on age. They will get in the car, see if it really doesn't retract and if it's not up to their standard they will replace them. Contact Honda for more info.
