I was just up at the gas station.

Some dude had a new 2008 Si, so we popped hoods and compared motors - his 2008 Si and my 1998 Si.

He pronounced "Si" some weird way I've never heard, so i thought maybe I've been saying it wrong all these years...

Ok, I can understand that. He just gave you a little insecurity in how to pronounce it. Well dude probably didn't know jack about Hondas and made up his own phrase, how did he pronounce it anyway?? One time I heard someone call an Si a "Ci", you know.. like in spanish lmao and I was like wtf. This thread is probably gonna get moved into general discussion.

I've always called it a "ess-eye" - although I occasionally slip and call it a "see".

That comes from living two hours from Mexico, I guess...

I just like the motor and tranny, soooo...

u probaly have an si cluster, and armrest.....if i didnt like the 99-00 Civic SI i wouldnt get a 96-00 civic period

You go with stupid girls. Then again, they probably don't really care beyond that perhaps they think that an "Si" is better than what it really is. Just like they don't appreciate a Mercedes for the engineering or the power. They appreciate it because they're being driven around in a Mercedes. As long as they feel special.
