Default Tire size for 94 civic (17")

OK so I just got a hand-me-down set of 17" rims. Would like to know what tire size will keep the same or closest circumference to stock. Or what will fit without rubbing. My car is lowered but I will be returning it to stock height, or at least close to it. I have a 94 Civic LX Sedan. The rims currently have a bald set of 205/40/17 on them.... would this be a good size to stick with?

Stick with the size you already have, its only slightly taller than the stock tires.

actually 195/40 would be the closest but extremely thin, more expensive and less tire options... but then if i were you i would sell those 17" and/or trade them for some 15" because it offers more wheel protection from potholes and the ride will be much more bearable then those rubber band 195 or 205/40 series

fixed.............

like i said earlier..16 and 17" would need too small of a sidewall..i say ditch those 17" and get 15" or 14" rims/tires for daily driving.

WRONG. Those sizes are for Integras and '97-00 Civics, too big for a '94 Civic.

The Tire Rack. They have three different tires available in 195/40-17.
