ive had enough of ppl who
criticize other drivers because their parents bought them their car
recently, ive read many posts of ppl stereotyping kids getting their car as a gift from their parents and saying they are spoiled (not just one kid but all young type R drivers)
WUT is the problem with that??...I worked my *** off to pay for most of my car and I would have financed the rest...however, since i am 20 and still go to school, my parents offered to help me pay the rest as encouragement...most young type R drivers like me dont take their cars for granted and dont think it's the coolest **** in the world...i hate it when ppl carry a negative attitude toward other more fortunate kids
IF my parents had offered me a nice car for free, I would have taken it.... who wouldn't?...why are ppl making such a big deal about "spoiled kids"?

if you're referring to my comment, i said kids whose parents bought them an ITR, and who have no knowledge of what they have, and that they just want it so they can go VROOM VROOM - and the bling factor.
i'm 17. my parents paid for half of my car and me everything else. so i wouldn't put down people like me. my friends parents bought him an ITR. he is on this board. i have no problem with it, because he knows what he is doing, and what he is talking about, and has it for a regular car and the track. not to go down to the street races and pretend to be big ****.

Kids who's parents buy them cars always beat the crap out of them. They didn't pay for it, they don't know what it costs. They don't have the capacity to realize how much work went into paying for the car.
I think that's the common stereotype out there.
It can be true in some cases...it can be false. It all depends on the person and the situation.
I think that people who buy their cars themselves (mostly younger people) have a pride about that. The ones that are dicks, or are just reaching out to hurt will throw that in their face.
Truthfully, I'm glad that my parents didn't buy my car for me.
My first car was given to me (89 Dodge Ram D50). I beat the crap out of that car. I didn't pay for it, so who cares, right?
So, I guess the stereotype is true sometimes...

in general, the 16-18 yr old owners of imports/ITR's, seem to have the highest percentage of fucktards among them.

more accurate would be 16-18 years olds period....
I hear you.
People will be people. Some haters think that anyone young shouldn't have big ticket items, because they don't deserve them for some inexplicable reason that these haters can't explain. They go by some logic that doesn't pertain to everyone.
My Type-R was paid for by my parents. Hopefully when I graduate from the university I will be able to pay them back, but till then I can enjoy my life like many others, and I don't see anything wrong with that. I could be paying every d4mn cent of my Type-R working some deadend or other pointless job than what I'm headed for, but what good would that be? My Type-R would be paid, but what good would that do me, or my parents, or anyone else?
I'm just stateing a fact... I was 29 when I financed my baby. and Its a five year loan. I pay each month out of my own pocket. (had a job, now don't but looking hard for work)...

some people have it like that , their parents are able to paid for things .
more power to them if they can dedicated them self to school and are able to get a good career .
some of us dont have it like that ,we have to work twice as hard to get things accomplish .especially been in such hobbies that are so expensive , as long as you carry your self right it shouldnt have to bother other people ....
