idle rpm?
i have an 89 crx si with a 1.6 motor swap, motor was done prior to my buying car. what should the idle be at and how do you adjust the idle on this vehicle. currently idles at 1500rpm , which seems a little high to me.any help would be appreciated

the ideal idel is 700-900 rpms.. there is an idle screw on the throttle body that u can adjust ..or just loosen the two screws on the throttle cable..

Base idle on a warm engine, with the IACV unplugged, should be around 650 RPM. With the IACV plugged in, ~725 RPM. If you can't achieve base idle, look for air leakage, either through gaskets, vacuum hose leak(s), or fast idle control valve. Do not compensate by adjusting the throttle cable if the plate rests at the stop and the TPS is set correctly..
