Default Problems whit shifting gear

Hello, I have a problem whit my gearbox.
When i go racing, i cant shift gear. What should i do.. The gearbox dosnt scratch or something, I just cant press it in gear! I am shifting at 10000 rpm. When i drive normaly there isnt anything wrong. I have an idea, that it is my clutch there not slip completly, it is like the clutch pedal gets soft when the engine gets some rpms, but i have just changed my clutch fluid.
Any ideas ??
Kind regards Daniel Jensen

sounds like you need a new clutch, if its "getting soft with rpms" most likely you cant release it @ high rpm

did you torque the pressure plate to spec ?

Yes, I have torqued the pressure plate to spec, and the clutch is brand new. It is a competition clutch, so i dont think that is my problem.

I just had the exact same problem with my competition clutch.

I would drive around the pits perfectly fine but as soon as I put a high rpm load on it, it would lock me out of the gear. Almost as if the gear wasnt even there.

The problem was that there wasnt enough room for the pressure plate to disengage correctly. I had to shave a few thousandths off my flywheel to give it the extra room to disengage and that allowed it to shift.

I'm not telling you to go and do exactly this , but I would take everything off, ie: the pressure plate, disc and the flywheel. Talk to Comp (great tech support) for the amount of room needed to properly work, and then measure everything while its off the car.

You "just changed clutch fluid", did you get all the air out of the system. Try bleeding it again.

We also have to assume the car always shifted good at 10,000rpm, did you ever have trouble before ?

Can we also assume you have good engine mounts and shifter bushings. Don't want the drivetrain moving around to much.

Good Luck

Is it every gear or just one?

Are you running a twin disc set up? If, so how did you set it up?

It is the stage 5. 1420 clutch
The problems is in every gear, and it have always been there. By the way, there is 75-90 castrol gearoil on..

put regular 10/30 engine oil in the transmission. dont use the 75/90 its too thick.

The gearbox is not rebuildt by anyone. The gearbox have driven 65000 km. But is is a good idea to try 10-30 engine oil..

you dont have to listen to anything i say, but i will tell you this. i surely didnt type that for ***** and giggles.

now... with that in mind

we have been able to shift oem trans @ 10,500 making over 800hp with no problems.

10/30 is the only thing i will put in any b series trans stock or not.

have you checked to see if you are over throwing the pressure plate, or simply, not pushing the pedal enough to disenguage the clutch ??

Might just need to move your seat up one notch! Worked for a friend of mine. In the heat of going down the track he wasnt puching the clutch in all the way and when he moved his seat, everything was better.

Dave is correct, Honda tells you to use 10/30W motor oil.

Subaru's use 75-90W

What would the problem be if my trans doesn't want to shift AFTER I get done running it? Last time I went to the track, after I slowed down after each run it was very hard to get into second gear to make the 180 turn and come down the exit. Also, it seems like every time I drive my car with spirit, it seems like the clutch then engages right at the floor afterwards? It's a hydro clutch and cable trans, 05 Accord v6...

Thanks Dave. I'll be looking for a clutch like that soon. Sorry back on topic, the problem most likely is the clutch.
