what would make the ecu throw the atmospheric pressure sensor code?
oki so my hatch was parked for awhile(98 dx automatic) and it was driving great when i last drove it. now i tried to take it out for a drive and it had a check engine light and it wouldn't let me shift out of park. when i got it in drive it shifted like ****. i checked the code and it gave me the atmospheric pressure sensor(BARO). so i figured the ecu went out. so i replaced it with another and it threw the same code! so i put the same ecu on another car and no code! so something on my car is making it do that/. anyone know what it is??any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Does the code pop up right away?
are you running the stock P2E?
have you scanned the codes to get the OBD2 code?
Helm says, clear code, if it comes back replace ECU. (meaning the baro is internal)
I've seen the code with an intermittent short in the map sensor power feed and the heater control line.

no it pops up after a little while of being reset. i got that code and i also took it to autozone and they told me the same thing. i have also read something about the map that might be doing it well ill be changing it out here in a lil then thanks! anyone else?
well i haven't been able to find a map sensor. but ill get one from my boy here in a couple of days. do you think that since i got this code it might be triggering something on the ecu to make it shift wrong?

a CEL like that will cause limp home mode.
So yes the trans may shift strange.

i had the same problem when i was changing my throttle body. turns out the voltage from the tps was set wrong, and for some reason it threw that cel 13. doubt that is whats wrong with yours but it would be worth the ten seconds to check if you got a volt meter. good luck
thats crazy you guys i think thats it. because the car at first threw a iacv code and once i replaced the iacv it started doing all this other crazy stuff maybe whenever i took the throttle body off i messed something up. well ill know really soon! thanks everyone
