Si means "Sport Injected". The term was first used by Honda because the first Si's were fuel injected, rather than carbureted. as far as DX, EX, etc. goes, I'm not sure.

Curiosity got to me, so I googled it

DX = Deluxe class, being the least expensive and having the fewest features. Nothing extra, just the car, no stereo, no power locks/windows, sometimes even no a/c.

LX = Luxury Class - adds appearance and comfort features (like body-colored mirrors, a nicer radio, cruise control)

EX = Executive Class - adds to the LX some performance features (four-wheel disk brakes) and some more luxury items (moonroof, more speakers). Doesnt usually have leather seats though.

Si = Sport Influenced - Improved engine, transmission and suspension over all other models. Only class that comes stock with moonroof and spoiler, as opposed to being an option.

jesus guys, It's Sport Injection, for the first full PGMFI civic's. It is not Sequential injection, or sport inspired.

It was even in an issue of honda-tuning last year. Sport Injection. "Sequential Injection" doesn't even make sense.
