Im swapping a B16a into a 1988 CRX SI. I have a few questions on wiring and vacuums. If anyone can answer anything thanks a ton.


this plug is coming off of the wiring going to the radiator fans does it even plug into anything with the new swap and if so what?

this is another plug on the wiring going to the radiator fans. same question wheres it go and do i need it?

wow i need help with the vacuums i dont know where stuff goes and i havent been able to find any solid pictures of how to hook it all up. mind you it's a 1988 CRX SI so it's a lil diff than the 1991s

 

okay i did some looking around and i found the 2 electrical plugs are for the ac crap i pulled out a while ago. now all i need to figure out is the vacuum

alright thanks also im having an issue finding the knock sensor because i transfered my 1988 d16a6 harness onto the engine and all of the plugs on the back of it have somewhere to plug into so does that either mean that the jdm b16a has no knock sensor or that the 1988 d16a6 has a knock sensor? also what are the 2 wires on the plug below the vtec solonoid plug. i need to know what they stand for so i can make my vtec harness. ill put up pictures if needed thanks.

 

i have seen this one but the one problem is there are 2 diaphragms on the top of my engine when that diagram only has one so what are both of mine for? thanks

 

ive been looking at this and it doesnt even make any sense. why would the fast idle diaphram hook up to the intake piping. it needs vacuum.

 

i'm not sure, but i think one diaphragm is for cruise control, which my crx doesn't have. i actually removed both of them and plugged the holes on the intake with bolts, to make it more like a b16a2 intake. my car runs and idles good with no codes

 

really taking off both of them did it for you. also could you just give me a shot of your engine bay like the pic i put up so i can see how all of your vacuums are working. thanks

thanks but i dont know what to do about the canister on the firewall mine has 2 and yours has one. whats the serial on yours or do you know what i should do with both of them

 

k i got it the one we both have is a dashpot control solonoid and mine has some purge cutoff valve so ill just not wire that one up. can i get a close up of yours and where both hoses on that t fitting go. thanks

 

sent you a pm...are you blocking pop ups for honda-tech? the t-fitting goes to the back of the manifold and the fuel regulator. i'm not sure if i can get a better pic of that. if you look at the pic and the diagram i posted, you should be able to get it working. let me know if you have more questions
