97 gsr carbon fiber hood doesn't fit on a friends 96 rs

A carbon fiber hood from a 97 GSR doesn't fit my friends 96 rs. I thought they had the same body parts for 96+ any reason to why it doesn't fit?

it should fit. did you adjust the fenders? what doesnt work the bolts? latch? wats the problem

Should fit 100% fine, you need to make some adjustments.

maybe you didn't adjust the top the hood to match the body lines of the fender, what about the front of the hood where the rubber stoppers are?

was your friends car in an accident, that would explain why maybe something is bent? just my pennies worth....good luck with it.
